In the garden...

I like copying anything my brother does at the moment!

I wanted to be like daddy and mow the lawns...

Phew...this is hard work! Mummy+I played ball...I liked handing it to mummy and saying "Tah!".

"No"(except when it comes to icecream)

I did not want to leave daycare today.I was very busy playing in the sandpit with the trucks and diggers...I even threw sand at mum and yelled "No!"and"go!",but i was not really cross and mummy just smiled.Anyway,when we did get home we were allowed icecream,yum!.

What's Crazy??

Mummy say's that I have been driving her crazy today!,why,whatever does she mean?.just because I like being picked up and carried around!!??...mummy even left me bawling my eyes out as a lesson that"You can't always get picked up"or something like that but i am VERY good at crying and can do it for a LONG time!.Eventually mummy can't stand it any longer and I get my cuddle.I really love my mummy!,and I don't think she's crazy at all.

Hi ya'll

A fairly quiet old time recently,funny how you get weeks like that aye?.Anyway,dave's sisters are having a much more interesting time of it...Heather is pregnant!!and Fifi has recieved her NewZealand nursing registration finally!!,so big things in store for them....congrats girls!!Hooray!.

We took the kids to Funstation yesterday because it was raining and they were bored,apparently every other parent this side of perth had the same idea!.It was chaotic really.But Jas +Roo had a brilliant time so that was the main thing.They even both had a turn on the little train...ruby did not fall out once!(dave was abit nervous about that.).On saturday night we had a real scare concerning our youngest:we were in bed and we could hear ruby crying but it was not a stressed cry so we thought we should leave her(We normally always check on her?),anyway i suddenly smell something and we rush to the kids rooms!,ruby's oil heater had somehow tipped over beside her cot and the room was full of smoke!,the oil leaking out.ruby was fine...but y'know...what if!?,best not to think about it really.

In other news ruby's walking is coming along nicely,she walks more than crawls now.Jasper's vocabulary is now so large that i cannot keep up!,he likes to help out around the house too...feeds the cat,'helps' change ruby's nappies,vacumes!.

The latest masterpieces...

Both kids did a couple paintings today,so i thought i'd share them with you.Ruby did her painting at playgroup and did pretty well considering she couldn't really reach the paper very well...she looked so cute in her painting smock with a brush in each hand and she only ate a tiny bit!.Jasper's painting was hanging up at daycare.When i picked him up he was busy playing with the plastic insects and telling me all about them...hmm,reminds me of someone else in this family!.

Today jasper found a caterpillar in the garden and he was intrigued...well,for as long as a two year old can be intrigued for!(not long)...anyway i winced as he lifted the tiny creature up between two fingers and i held my breath as i waited for the accidental squish!,but it did not come...jas was surprisingly gentle as we put it over the fence.Awww.

As for ruby,she STILL has a runny nose!.I think i will take up aunty Rosie's advice which she shared when she+ethan visited today...get the kids vitamins!.I am SO over wiping snot off her AND me!

Not a good photo but these creatures are called frogmouths(simular to an owl),and these three were huddled together...so sweet!

Well,we spent saturday morning driving around perth looking for a new family car,with not alot of success really so we took a round-about-way of getting home by driving the south West highway.That's when we saw the sign for Armadale reptile Centre...oohh we said in unison,that looks interesting...so we went in.There was quite an impressive range of native snakes including a boa constricter which we each got to stroke.Quite alarming to be honest at just how MANY deadly snakes there are here!.Outside there was a crocodile enclosure and also a turtle swimming around in there(?).The wombats were very cute!As were the two ponys:"Zorro"and"Dolly"which the kids liked stroking.I don't know WHAT they thought of the snakes,monitors,dragons,skinks and crocs!,but they did like their icecreams afterwards.It is very scenic out that way in the perth hills,very green and pleasant.

Today I was not feeling very well so we had a quiet day,with abit of weeding in the garden this afternoon.I planted some lavender and daisy's and jasper"helped"by pulling them out!,nothings safe with little ones around...i give the lavender and daisys a week,at the most.Oh and today we saw a baby snake in our garden and our neighbour spotted a snake in her garden yesterday.

First walking shoes...

Well,since ruby is now a walking girl we thought we really ought to buy her some walking shoes.I tryed them on her this morning and she refused to walk in them!,but she will get used to the feel of shoes before too long,her dad picked the shoes last night when we went to the mall.We quite like the late night shopping on thursdays and will just wander around and maybe grab a bite to eat at a cafe...dave picked up the final Star wars dvd(I got him the first 3 star wars movies when i was in NZ),and we got a new phone...rose+AJ,you can have your old phone back now!.Y'know,exciting things like that.But,y'know it's those simple times with my precious family that are the times i love the most.I'm just so grateful everyday for what i've got and my life can not get any better!.

Ah winter...

..means heaps of washing...

...but heck,whats abit of dirt when you see their happiness at being outside.

but ruby is not easily detered and will often bite him in annoyance...ouch!

What to do on a rainy day...

We had afternoon tea in our hut this afternoon(quilt thrown over the table),we had marshmallows,raisens and muesli bars.Jas got abit hot under there but ruby had a marvelous time at stacking the little plates(she is into stacking objects at the moment)and playing peek-a-boo.Then daddy got home from work early and the kids were so happy.
