Walkies!

Went for a small walk inbetween the showers today,still managed to get rained on alittle bit though,it was nice to get some fresh air.Later,aunty rose and ethan dropped by and the boys always have such fun together,they exchanged gumboots and slippers and ate apples...sorry,no bananas today tho ethan!.What gorgeous little boys we have too!

We had a pyjama day today and did pretty much nothing.The weather was blowing a gale with driving rain thrown in so we all just cuddled up.Jas has a sniffle so it was good to keep him indoors,he watched finding nemo...again.Ruby liked it when he took her hand and my hand and we all walked around the house together yelling "yey".

What a gentleman...

When i got home from NZ my hubby gave me a stunning Ruby+diamond ring!!AND pink roses,he had also been busy buying a blender and a kitchen shelf unit...maybe i should go away more often,heehee.

Good to be back...

Visiting aunty Shanz...which was a fun day for us girls.

We took her to see the puppys at a huge pet store in howick...she loved it.

This was cool,ruby playing and saying "brrmm"at the amazing kids section of whitcouls at Botany downs shopping centre....

Well,it is good to be home.We have been taking it easy and just enjoying being a family.Yesterday we took a drive to Cottesloe beach,near fremantle.Cotts was one of our first early glimpses of our future home when we would look at perth on the net and so it was lovely to go see it for real.It is quieter than the bigger city beaches like scarborough and in my opinion much nicer.It is where all the surfers hang out and they were there in droves yesterday as the water was choppy enough.We had lunch at a cafe on the beach.Perfect way to unwind after an eventful past week...

NZ was beautiful.The first day the weather was perfect so ruby+I took a walk around Omana point in maraetai and the views of rangatoetoe island were awesome!,i instantly felt at home.It was great to spend a relaxing day out with shanz and show ruby off to her.Mum's birthday party/mid-winter dinner was fun and in true linley-style was like a winter fairytale...she even had fake snow!,everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and I enjoyed catching up with my brother Gerard and his very sweet and witty wife,jessica.Ruby amused and charmed everyone at the party and refused to go to sleep!,there was too much happening but she was very good and sat in the highchair with her party hat on.It was also fitting that this was our last goodbye to my grandmothers home as it will soon be occupied by new owners.

Now i am home...well,my home AWAY from home, for now anyway.

I managed to wipe all the photos of the party and stuff on my camera so the above are photos i managed not to wipe.

Well, it's wednesday tomorrow, a week since Lee and Roo left for their short holiday to N.Z., only 3 more sleeps till they get back, YAY!
Jas and I managd to get out to the markets on Sunday, it was areally miserable day weather wise and Jas was unfortunately under a dark cloud as well, one of those moods when he did just not want to know about anytyhing. We hurried through, didn't even buy anything apart from some fudge. Must admit that Jasper did enjoy the bus ride to the market and back. Wer'nt able to go to the beach as planned as it was raining way too heavily, at least the lawns are getting a good soaking...

Bid a brief farewell to Lee and Ruby onWednesday, they are off to N.Z. for 10 days for Granny Walkers birthday -bash. Jas and I are missing them a lot. Every time we go out in the car, Jasper asks "Mummy?" in a hopefull tone, really quite heart-breaking. Not too long though, and they'll be back.
Had a busy day today, went off to Mandurah first thing, milled the mall and had coffee and do-nuts (Jas liked the donuts), then back to Rockingham where we spent the rest of the morning at Fun station, Jasper totally exhausted himself running up and sliding down the various climby-thingies and playing with 100's of balls, it was really busy, dozens of kids all running around in exhausting little circles, great fun! Don't have the digital camera unfortunately so cannot post any photo's, but will definately go back there again.
More on the cards for tomorrow, all going according to plan I would like to go to Canningvale markets, hopefully the weather will clear up a bit and we cvan come back via the Freemantle route and I'll give Jas a bit of a outing on the beach. Here's hoping...

Going to NZ.

Well,we are off to the airport shortly.I have never been away from jasper for longer than a day so am finding it quite difficult...gulp.Anyway,my dear husband has promised me he will write on the blog occasionally while i'm away.

Mr mum...

I gave dave a small present this evening,a harry potter book...not the new one but i thought this one would get him prepared for reading the last HP book,he was thrilled with his gift which made me happy.He is such a good man,husband and father...he is bravely taking on the role of both mum and dad for the next 10-days as i am off to NewZealand!,and while i know he+jasper will be fine,i wish i could say the same!,as it's a long time to be away from my boys...though it will be fun to see family+friends again.

Ruby had a great time on her ride-on today,we got it for her 1st birthday but she barely gets to ride it because normally jas is on it,anyway today she did...what fun,she practised getting on and off and she would ride it in one direction and then get stuck as she has not yet learnt how to reverse!,and all the while she made her"Brrmmm"noises.At one point she fell off and hit her head on the window,ouch!,but,after a good cry she was straight back on it.

Roo's latest word is "hot"and she only uses the word when she is given hot food,so she understands what she is saying which is pretty clever.She can now say "bye-bye","hi","'allo","ouch","jas","cat"and everyday it's something new.She is an inquisitive child,her favorite question is "THAT?"as in Whats that?,she uses this all day long.She also likes books alot.She is a bright button.

Gotta' love weekends...

Jasper is very into trade offs at the moment,it's really very clever.He will come up to me,ruby or his dad and will give us something in return for us giving him what he wants that we have! eg I got given rabbi this morning and he got my juice!,better than snatching aye!

We had a very relaxing weekend,i had my hair cut and coloured(i'm now a redhead!),and was given a lovely head+neck rub...jees,once upon a time you just expected to get your hair cut at a salon but hey,i was not complaining!

Other than that we hung out together and watched dvds,but we did go for a walk on sunday morning,we went down to our local beach and swam!,well,jasper did or i should say he got dunked by the high tide but he squealed with delight.The weather here is warm.The beach front had been washed away in the recent storm we had and we had a great time sliding down the drop to the beach below!,even though dave showed off abit!.

Ruby's first steps..

Well,ruby took her first steps today.Four steps infact!,followed by 4 more a couple minutes later(see photo)and tonight a couple more for her excited daddy.Wow!!

Woohoo!!

Well i returned to sureslim today as i haven't been for a couple of weeks and i have lost 4 kilos!,i was stoked!!,i knew i'd lost alittle but not that much!!.After, roo+I went to the mall and i looked for an outfit to wear for when i go home to NZ next week(mum's 60th party)but everything was in these hideous sixties+seventies styles that are so fashionable at the moment...with those awful patterns+everything...big ICK!!.So,we deserved a banana smoothie after all that...any excuse.Then we went home and roo had a big sleep and i just enjoyed the peace+quiet(a rare thing these days).Dave got home from work early which was a lovely surprise.

I really need to get my A into G and start toilet training jas as he is as sick of wearing them as i am of buying them,i could even wait a couple of months and toilet train both kids together...perhaps in summer...maybe.

Ruby was happily standing by herself tonight,she loves the applause.

Ruby-two-shoes...

A lovely spring-like day in Perth today...in july!.Ruby and i were home without jas(daycare day),and we did our girl thang,painted one anothers toe nails,applied makeup+allthat...no,but really,we did have fun just hanging out.Roo sat under the dining table and shared my lunch with me,that was inbetween terrorising the cat.Honestly,i'm surpried tom hasn't scatched her by now!?.Then it was time to go on the swing...again.

Jas was thrilled to have both mum+dad pick him up from daycare this afternoon.He did some nice scribbles on his chalkboard this evening and,when given a damp cloth to clean it he discovered it made lovely patterns,when pressed on the board.

Aunty rose+uncle AJ+kids(it's school holidays),popped in for a quick vist this afternoon,it was good to see them.My,those kids are growing fast!.

The swing that we got for the kiddies has been one of the best,most useful things so far!.It is great for a grizzly,clingy baby(i cannot leave roo's sight at the moment),and while she swings happily i can still watch her from the kitchen,great stuff.Jas love's it too...today he was just about falling asleep in it.

I brought jassie some gunboots which he loves and today he had a superb time running around the backyard...very handy as it is the wet season here.Ruby meantime crawled around after her cat ...i didn't keep her outdoors for long as she has a cold+is on antibiotics for a chest infection.There is some fear over here at the moment as 3 preschooler's have died of flu in the past week in perth.

We got a good deal on a pixar collection,in the weekend and when we put FINDING NEMO on,well,jasper loved it.Later on we watched THE INCREDIBLES,man!,that's a FUNNY movie!

Today jasper had great fun climbing in and out of the cat flap!,very funny!.He also loves to jump on his bed,chase the cat,take my hand and lead me around the house,daycare,riding bikes,cartoons,running,learning new words and many other things...he's my little whirlwind and i have to have eye's in the back of my head with that one...

Ruby is being thoroughly spoilt!,I blame her dad!!,but we can't help it as she is just so adorable and FUNNY and ...did i mention adorable?.She loves to be cuddled and to give cuddles,(yesterday she fell asleep on me as we cuddled) she adores all of us but recently has found a new passion in her daddy,she is happiest when she's high up in dad's arms.She loves her cat,climbing up things,crawling with her head on the ground?(lets face it,baby's are weird!),her swing,playing with her brother's toy cars and making "BRRMMM"noises as she does,saying"CAT"or"that??"as in whats that?,infact she loves copying what we are saying.She is just starting to really shine now and is so different to her brother.I think the most exciting thing for me lately,is to see jas+roo play together!,and giggle together...i've been waiting for that.Up 'till now jas ignored roo but that's to be expected as he was just a baby himself but now their both toddlers,well it is just going to be fun is all.

Well,gran+grandpa left tonight.they are off to NZ now to vist aunty fifi...they better wear their winter woolies as they are going to the snow!.We are all going to miss them.
