Boxing day.

                                           We woke to a very hot day and a very messy house!.
                                            We filled up our new pool and spent alot of the day
                                             in it.It was a typical boxing day of lazing around,
                                             eating left over turkey,staying cool in the heat wave,
                                             tea-partys in the tent,playing with our new toys and
                                             afternoon naps.Perfect really...although I could do
                                             without the 40+ degree heat we are experiencing.

                                            We went to see the xmas lights in waikiki as we do every year,

                                          And the kids opened xmas stockings with family.

It wouldn't be christmas for us without baking day.Sweet treats to give to others and some for us aswell ,including davies delicious truffles.

Celebration+Tradition.

We have cause to celebrate as it is both the beginning of Advent and ofcourse the first day of summer.We enjoyed the kids summer school fair today.A great turnout and the school raised lots of money.Also the kids loved the laser tag and the pony rides.

This evening we lit the first candle of advent.We also made our christmas wreath.Now the excitement of christmas has begun!.

Our Tree-For-all-Seasons.

We found an old tree branch today and so we set about creating a special tree-for-all-seasons.The kids painted it and now they get to decorate it for christmas.We all love our special tree.
