cheese please...

Jasper has been learning all about manners at daycare recently(and at home too!),and so he goes around the house saying "thankyou-u-u" alot.Well, today he was having his cheese sandwich for lunch and I hear him say:"Thankyou daddy, thankyou mummy, thankyou cheese!!"and he stuffed a piece of cheese in his mouth.Heeheehee.
In less happy news we have been told that Ruby has asthma...which has bummed us out abit.it does explain the ongoing cough and stuff atleast.strange though as neither dave nor myself have asthma nor does it run in our families.she is having to have syrup(ventolin),as she is to young for an inhaler.Ok,scaring myself now, better go.

Jasper rode his bike to the park this morning,he can now reach the peddles, but he git abit tired on the way home and i pushed him.We walked past his daycare and he had a chat to one of his teachers kirsty(?)and he told her"play at park",it was very cute.
Ruby begins daycare on the 12th october.Criky!.

Ruby spent about an hour running around with her nappy off this afternoon,as she has nappy rash and bloody nappies trap all that moisture in and really inhibit the healing...this is thrilling for y'all i know!.Also today i was on the phone and visiting the office at daycare trying to get ruby in,turns out there are no spaces for roo on the same day's that jasper attends so,dave and i need to decide to put jasper in an extra day so roo has company...decisions,decisions...
Jasper loves his daycare and would benefit from three days a week but it's an expensive business(it will cost us $200 a week + when we send both kids!,and that's for partime!!).

I took ruby to the playpark this morning after dropping jas off at daycare and she loved it(she is getting very bored and clingy at home!),she climbed to the very top slide for the first time(with abit of moral support from mum!)but she is not quite as good at getting down again. So yeah, that passed abit of time and exhausted miss ruby so that when we got home she had a huge sleep.
when we picked jasper up from DC he was on a bike and another little boy, named xavier, was also hanging on to the same bike and i inturupted this "who hangs on to the bike the longest, wins the bike"thing!!,so jas did not appreciate me giving the bike over but there you go!.

changes

There have been a couple of changes in our house at the mo,mainly dave starting a new job and also working nights for a wee while...ruby is missing her daddy i think as she is very clingy to him when he is here and very grumpy with me when he isn't!,typical!,mum gets the grief!.Imagine when I go back to work fulltime aswell which looks to be quite soon.Jasper has a had a very noticable growth spurt lately and he is just such a happy, gentle, loving little boy.
I really must get on to properly toilet training jas and also getting rid of bottles...both my kids still have them, terrible i know!

Took ruby to the beach today and she had a great time. After, she was so covered in sand that I took her nappy off and poured a bottle of water over her bottom to get the sand off!Oh,the indignities of being a baby!!.Then she sat in her carseat buck naked on the way home but she loved that!and THEN she had a lovely warm shower with her daddy and she loved that best of all.
We are going to have to enroll her in daycare soon ...oh,my baby girl is growing up so fast!.

Fun in our own backyard...

Today I thought i would make the most of the sunshine and get the kids outdoors.I filled their sandpit up with toys from inside and they had a ball, climbing in and out and they even had their morning tea in there!.Lucky,as the rain hit this afternoon.
Oh well,i'm off to enjoy my 2008 Ikea catalogue...ooohhh.Ciao!

To the beach...

We took the kids to the beach on sunday afternoon,up at the quieter port kennedy beach.Dave built his first 'drippy castle' with jas and roo and they all had so much fun(see pics).Ruby got absoulutey soaked and covered in sand,it was very funny watching her as she wanted to be everywhere at once...in the end she just sat down in the hole that they had all just dug up!.Jas at once stage took off down the other end of the beach and i had to run to catch him,so it was good when he did sit down with his dad and sister and join in on sandcastle-building.

Well, daisys just make you happy don't they!!

dave+kids at the south african display...

Wow!

Picnic in kings park...ah,contentment!

dave+jas opening pressies this morning.

We went to Kings Park today and as part of the annual wildflower festival, there was a big father-child exhibit on(celebrating the bond between the two).We had a wander around all the stalls...there was alot on!eg camel-riding,sumo wrestling,kite-making but we stuck to dave +jasper making handprints in paint(ruby's effort was too smudged),and later jasper did some more painting on a mural with lovely orange paint, his daddy helped. There was alot of play areas for children but my kids were just here, there+everywhere!.The weather too was beautiful.Later,we had a picnic at another part of kings park...the area is huge!.The wildflowers were spectacular too,I love the botanic gardens here!.

Ethan's 3rd birthday party.

Is it a bird?Is it a plane?No!...it's superman!,and a future AllBlack!(am I going to get in trouble for saying that??)
jasper on his "hog"...

and ruby!...

and jas again...

Balls!

the midget crew...patience,lily,jas+ethan...

and ruby too!!

We all went to playhouse up in port kennedy yesterday and the kids had a blast!.There were 5 little people:including my two.Jasper had fun in the bouncy castle and riding the "mini hogs"as i call them...he looked so cool on thse big 3-wheeler bikes with the raised handlebars, there was even a circuit that he could ride around on.Ruby was a little whirlwind the whole two+hours we were there...at one point i asked her dad"where's roo?"and he said"in the corner"and that's when I heard the familiar giggle of my 16-month-old coming from ABOVE!,she had climbed up the top of the playground and was about to go down a rather huge slide!,very funny.

It was when young patience up chucked all over her mummy that we all decided to leave!...we went back to R+A's place so that ethan could have his b'day cake, and the kids could jump on the trampoline out the back,we must get one of those one day,a great invention.
